Sparkle - President
As you can see, Sparkle is a White Face Clown. She likes to entertain by getting people to help her with her great magic show. Sparkle has served the clowns as President, 1st and 2nd vice president, and secretary. Some of these offices she has held more than once. Sparkle has won appearance awards, Best New Clown award, and Clown of the Year.

Ragus - Chairman of the Board
Ragus has been an active member of Carolina Clowns for for almost 43 years! He is our oldest active member. He has served as Chairman of the Board, President, 1st Vice-President, Second Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer and Historian. He has held many of these offices several times.

Bipps
You have probably seen Bipps bicycling down Tryon Street in the Novant Thanksgiving Parade! She has been an active member of the Carolina Clowns for nearly 33 years and has held almost every office the organization has. Some of them several times. She achieved the highest rank in the Carolina Clowns as a Top Banana early in her career. She was voted a recipient of the Comedy and Tragedy award, making her a Lifetime Member of our group. Bipps and her husband are also active in their Church and the play Mr. and Mrs. Claus during the Christmas season.

Chef - 2nd Vice President
When Chef started in 1986 he was a white face clown known as Tubsy. He later went on to become Herbie and dressed as a Hobo Clown. Chef the Character Clown loves going to nursing homes and enjoyed hospital clowning. He likes parades and enjoys school appearances. He has served as Chairman of the Board, President, Secretary, and both Vice President positions within the clowns.

Lovie Dovie - Public Relations Officer
Lovie Dovie was recognized as "Rookie Clown of the Year" within her first year as Carolina Clown. In 2023 she reached the rank of Clown of Excellence. She attended clown school in 2018 and hopes to go again soon. She loves walking in parades and entertaining kids of all ages. Lovie Dovie's other passions include gardening (she is an American Rose Society Horticulturist judge at Rose shows in NC and SC). She also enjoys playing and watching golf and spending as much time as she can with her grandkids.

Tutti Fruitti
Tutti Fruitti first joined the Carolina Clowns in the mid 1980's. She has been known as both Melody the Clown and Granny of the Carolina Clowns Possum Trot Hillbilly Band. She is a semi-retired Minister at Salem Lutheran ELCA in Lincolnton. She has earned Top Banana ranking. The clowns are so glad to have her back as Tutti Fruitti!

Gimpy
Gimpy is a happy Hobo Clown and a Top Banana with over 100 appearances! One of his favorite clown routines is pulling gold coins from unexpecting children's ears. He earned the Comedy and Tragedy award which makes him a lifetime member. Gimpy and his wife really enjoy watching their grandsons participate in many different sporting events.

Noodle - Secretary
Noodle stays very busy as the Secretary of out Carolina Clowns. Her many job duties include taking the minutes for our monthly meetings and handling all incoming and outgoing correspondence for the organization. Noodle has been a Carolina Clown for almost 32 years and has is a Lifetime member by virtue of being selected as a Comedy and Tragedy award winner. Noodle has won appearance awards, Clown of the year awards and is a very funny clown.

Cookie is a Top Banana Clown and was recently selected as a Lifetime member by receiving the Comedy and Tragedy Award.

Rowdy
Rowdy's appearances reflect his total joy of "Bringing sunshine to both children and adults." He always has a little something for everyone. Rowdy has won "Most Appearances of the Year" award for the clowns several times. He quickly achieved the rank of Top Banana. Rowdy has attended Circus Magic Convention to help sharpen his clown skills and also enjoys being an active member of his Church.

Itsy-Bitsy
Itsy-Bitsy is a lifetime clown who enjoys working with kids of all ages. She is a dancing clown and loves to do parades and visit nursing homes.

Periwinkle - Treasurer
Periwinkle is a new clown who is eager and excited to learn about the art of clowning while helping people smile and have fun. She enjoys entertaining others by using her oversized slinky, making bubbles, playing with toys, noise makers, and fidgets, and with the help of her friend, Mitzi the Goose. Periwinkle loves to be extra silly, talk, and dance around. She likes video games, spooky movies, skating, writing, cooking, and building Legos with her kids.
